Join Denis Brown for a two or three day calligraphy workshop tailored for Intermediate to Advanced level participants.
Denis favours a Hybrid Celtic script over archaic forms when aiming for a contemporary Celtic aesthetic. This approach involves the fusion of insular characteristics with a contemporary roman or italic style. During the workshop, participants will be introduced to the principles of modernising ancient scripts and practice a hybrid Celtic/Italic script.

Student supplies required
Participants are required to bring the following supplies: - Broad edged calligraphy dip-pens (Brause size 3mm or 4mm recommended, along with any preferred brands) - Ink - Gouache paints - Palette - Mixing brushes - Water jar - Pencils - Ruler - Scalpel or scissors - Layout paper - A few sheets of high-quality paper of personal preference - Optional: A smartphone with a camera for convenient documentation of demonstrations for later practice.
