Calligraphy with Attitude

A two day workshop with Denis Brown.
Level: Advanced

Join us for an exciting two-day workshop with the talented calligrapher Denis Brown. Explore the art of calligraphy with a twist at the Dangerous Lines workshop. Enhance your calligraphy skills by infusing attitude into your writing. Discover how subtle changes in speed and pressure can bring vibrancy to both formal and informal writing styles.

In this workshop, you will delve into a variety of pen strokes developed by Denis Brown himself. While mastering these techniques may take time, you can continue practicing them to refine your skills further. Be prepared for thrilling demonstrations that may overwhelm you initially but will surely transform your perspective on calligraphy. In this class, calligraphy will be closer to sport than to meditation.

As you continue to practice over time, you will notice the influence of this workshop in your own writing, making it more dynamic and expressive.

Watch the video below to get a glimpse of the pen strokes taught in the workshop. Remember, there's no rush to perform them at such speed; take your time to perfect them at your own pace. Don't miss this opportunity to elevate your calligraphy skills to new heights!
