Thickly painted gesso primer with handwriting scratched into it lies underneath the print, 16" x 23".
Originals feature a luminous gloss finish only where painted brushstrokes of gesso lie under printed areas;
and a relatively matt finish on un printed areas. This dynamic cannot be reproduced.
